It's beautiful. I would keep it as is forever, but I quite like rock specimens.
I've got zero experience with a flat lap and would be worried about it splitting in a rock tumbler. It does seem to have fractures. Maybe experiment with similar but less pretty rocks before committing to anything.

So nice!! I got a piece from them that had some lovely sugary druzy on the top along with nice banding and botroydial face on the other side. I ended up polishing the small banding face and kept the rest au-natural. It's one of my favorite pieces.

Beautiful piece of Lace! Although it's frustrating seeing those micro-fractures sometimes!
I picked up a bunch of Laguna Lace to cab...but it was so riddled with micro-fractures I can't bring myself to use it for that! Arghhh!

I just never thought of Mexico getting a lot of freeze/thaw cycles. Not saying they don't...I just didn't think about it! LOL I was always under the impression it was from the way in which it is/was mined...using dynamite.
