I got a bunch of cabs done over the weekend (including some fortification agates done for the April contest that aren't included here). I'm really starting to like Rhodinite. The slabs I've had so far have been easy to work and they polish up great. I've had a couple break on me, but most have held up well. I'm also really loving the jaspers, especially the picture jasper. The ones towards the center and left bottom are Blue Mountain I beleive, although I'm hoping the one on the right might be Morrisonite. I plan on having a lot more picture jasper to share over the next month.

These Blue Mountains are gorgeous. The yellow oval piece on the right side is also very interesting.
You must be a natural in lapidary work, so productive. I see your contest entry and it is wonderful.

I see your contest entry and it is wonderful. Thank you! Yes, I really love those picture jaspers! And I have no idea what that oval one is. I have two more cabs marked up from a small slab that I got of it. It's got some character that I like. I'm happy with my cab entry, too, although I'm thinking I should have entered its sibling. The one I entered has a better dome, but the other one had a more exciting shape and pattern.
