Hello!! I am from the US, Missouri. I found this forum when I was trying to research about getting my first Rock Tumbler. I read Fanfiction, watch funny YouTube videos, do photography, Love Cicadas, cook & bake, an animal lover, play Pokémon games, and have a vegetable garden.
I’m the type of person that will stress out about wasting money on something that may not work in how I intended to use it for. Mostly, I just have a lot of pretty rocks that I want to smooth out. I have rocks from the creek, the woods, and on gravel roads. I know I have tons of druzy quartz and some Mozartkite. I just want a Tumbler that won’t take up a lot of electricity, somewhat quiet, and won’t cost too much. Maybe one that has the grit and pellets come with it. With so many options, I just don’t truly know which would be the ideal for me.
I would be grateful for some advice from people that are experts in this hobby that I wish to start.

Welcome! The Lortone 3A tumbler will be a good one to begin with, but I don't know if any of them are in stock anywhere. Usually you will expand/upgrade the lines of your equipments, multiple times, once you develop some more specific requirements after you gain experience in tumbling.

Welcome. I use Lortones. The 33b sounds like an ok fit for you. Highland park makes a clone that might work well for you. If you get a kit I'd recommend buying it from The Rock Shed, or Kingsley North.

Hello from Australia.
Lortones are great. National Geographic makes good tumblers for starting out (but some have awful lids, so research is required on which types are good). They tend to consume less power but may be noisier than other tumbler brands. National Geographic also has kits with the grit you need to get started, although if you want shiny rocks you would need to buy a proper polish (their polish is rubbish) and not expect great results from the rocks they provide (the variety is fun, but some of the rocks are difficult to get shiny). Good rocks to learn tumbling are agates, chalcedony, or jaspers.

Welcome from AZ. I own tumblers, but all larger ones, which sounds like more than you need.

Welcome from NW Florida.
I have a 2 barrel Thumler's Tumbler Model A-R2. I like it for a couple of reasons- First you have 2 barrels so you can have rocks at different stages going at the same time. The other thing I like is that everything is out in the open, so it's easy to oil & change belts.

Welcome from California!
Tumbling, I'm learning, is a practice in patience. I'm still fairly new to tumbling, though. I hope you have fun with it! I have a Lortone 3A, which is a 3lb. tumbler that you may be able to find on ebay or elsewhere online (it is sold out on the company's website). I'd start with a 3lb. tumbler, because I think they're more common and affordable.

Mine didn't.
