Recently I purchased a box of Bahia Agates...and started a before and after project which is ongoing here
Whoever can come the closest to guessing the weight of the rocks in THE ABOVE BOX will win a box of Bahia agates, an assortment of other material I've accumulated thru the years, and a bag of Micro-Alumina polish.
For reference, here is the smallest rock in the box, weighing in at 8.8g..... and the largest, weighing in at 227.3g
That's about all I can give for hints, other than there were a total of 209 rocks in the box, and the most common weight was 51.5g which happened 4 times!
Guesses must be in grams, each (1) pound = 453.5924g.
I'll leave a calculator here if you need it.
For example, if you would have guess 5lbs (that's not the answer), you would guess 2267.962g. I don't expect decimal point guesses, so don't sweat it.
One of the first things that really cemented my interest in rock tumbling, was interacting with forum and the overwhelming amount of generosity afforded to me by veterans of the hobby early on.
I'm well past due on giving something back...
So if you are on the fence on interacting with the rest of us weirdos or are a little shy, new, or apprehensive, consider this your invitation for an icebreaker.
