I did some cabbing a while ago. Not last week, but the week before. One, the variscite, I posted elsewhere, so if you have seen it - sorry for the duplicate.
I haven't finished the backs. But, hey, you can't see those.
Sorry for the slightly blurry pictures. I think I cropped too close.
Galaxy rhyolite
Sonoran dendritic rhyolite
Gem bone. This was a small, thick heel. I think it was a good save. Not great but, not bad. I like the colors in person. The cells are pink and blue outlined in red.
Australian Gaspeite. Gaspeite also comes from Canada, but the Aussie stuff is better - though not by much. Very soft, but took a nice polish. The color is underrepresented in the image. It is really an eye popping spring green.
Thanks for looking.

Love them all but really partial to the Galaxy Rhyolite and the Sonoran Dendritic Rhyolite. I always get a little excited now when I see you've posted cabs. Nice stuff!

I'm hoping to get at least one more decent Galaxy from the slab. That aussie gaspeite is some spendy stuff. I have a little piece left over from cutting. I think I'll make a little cab out of it. Hate to throw it out! They are all stunning! The galaxy rhyolite is a real eye catcher! Thank you! Hopefully, I'll have a few more to show.

WOW !! I have to agree, I get excited when I see your cabs, they are always something wonderful to ogle.
The Galaxy is out of this world (couldn't help myself) but seriously it has a cool pattern & a nice polish, and an interesting shape.
I love the Joshua tree on the Sonoran dendritic, that is going to look fabulous wrapped ! But I think the dino takes it for me.
Thanks for sharing,
Patty

Thanks, Patty! You should have seen the gembone before the grind. It's a wonder there was a half way decent cab in there. LOL.

I don't like any of them! I love them all! (That was my Simon Cowell impression! LOL) Your pattern capture on that Sonoran was spectacular! Great choice on the framing and choice of shapes! When I first glanced at the Galaxy, I thought it was Crinoidal Limestone! Great orbs in that one! I like the colors in the Dino Bone! I worked some I got recently...and I think I might stabilize mine...but I haven't made a final decision yet. You posted some Gaspeite at some point in the past. That sent me on a hunting expedition. You ain't lyin' when you say it's spendy stuff! LOL
