I'm using a Hi Tech 6' TRIM SAW, the all plastic one. I wen to a supposedly big rock show today, hoping to buy a dressing stick for the blade and found none. I also want to order a water additive Colling liquid to my water, per suggestions here and elsewhere. What's a good additive for the water. There are several brands online. Also, I want to order the dressing stick at the same time. Are either one of these two items necessary or recommended., I remove and clean/oil the blade after each use. Thank you,

I use a drop or two of Finish Jet-Dry when adding water to my trim saw.

I have the 4/5" trim from hi-tech and I only use water in it. I did just get a 10" covington trim and I use water, and koolerant (covington's brand?) in it. 9 parts water to 1 part koolerant. My blade on hi-tech is sintered and I use the dressing stick that they sell. You'll get mixed results from folks, but I notice it does cut better after using the stick, but I have to keep using it.
