Over this weekend I explored two different spots far far far off the beaten path. OnX said I walked a lil over 5 miles into the forrest today, and before I had to turn my phone off yesterday for lack of battery, I recorded 10 miles + yesterday across the desert. I packed out more than this and some bigger pieces, but here is some porcelain jasper I found coming out of a rhyolite outcrop out off a point. This was just a smaller piece I cut.  This stuff, i'm not really sure how I feel about it. jasoninsd says he likes it when I sent him pics. I found this stuff way down in a draw out in the middle of the desert. This as well had a distinct deposit. Lots bubbling up out of the ground on a hillside. The yellow is solid. Might cut a cab to see what I think.  I brought back maybe around 50lbs of each material. Not worth digging to me or to bring much back with that much hiking until I can determine if its worth my time when I get home. One of these days i'll find something that everyone and their dog will want lol |

Both are outstanding. The red one is outstanding-er I'm with ya. I have a bigger chunk I need to cut that appears to have orbing in it. So we will see how it turns out. |

Those pics look a lot better here than on my phone! LOL I see some sick cabs coming out of that second unknown!! I'll try to get around to it this weekend. I'm going to take goldfinder out sunday this coming weekend. So if all goes well. i'll knock one out saturday. |

Both are very cool, I'm a fortification guy at heart but that jasper is pretty sweet.

Nice stuff! I could have easily mistaken the first one for Australian material. Looks a lot like Mookaite.

Nice stuff! I could have easily mistaken the first one for Australian material. Looks a lot like Mookaite. Jason said the same thing when I sent those pics to him. |

Heck yeah, looks like a couple promising deposits you located! Nice vibrant colors in the porcelain jasper. The agate is really cool looking too, it would probably make some sweet specimen slabs, especially with the druzy crystal lined pocket near the center.

But gives me hope that there is still stuff out there to discover that no one else has encountered. The jasper though. I actually kinda like that stuff. No indication of people in there either. |

I don't want you to die walking back to the location during summer heat so wait till cooler weather. I like color and pattern and this material has potential.
