Thanks again guys. Amythest is such a pretty stone, but isn't the easiest to work with. Hopefully we'll see more soon. Come on Stephan, be nice and make your wife a necklace for her birthday. I did try different chains and such, but believe me, it wasn't the chain that was the problem. If I posted pics of my other attempts, you'd well understand.

is that hole all the way through the stone? i'd be scared to try that with amethyst fearing the stone would fracture....but you nailed it and it looks great! nice bail, too!

I absolutely love amethyst. Just bought some rough yesterday, but with being so dang new to tumbling and everything else, it's going to sit until I know I won't ruin it. I want very bady to make some of my own jewelry with it. I loooooooooooooove this necklace!
