This is a slab I picked up at a local recent rock show. Fill a bag with slabs for 5 bucks. (It was one of those short snack bags and most slabs were single cabbers.) Still a fun deal. This slab was thick so I cut it the "other way" and made some tall skinny slabs. I'm not sure what the exact material is so hopefully someone here can help with ID. Anyway, it's got dendrites!
I'm getting super excited everyone! I can't wait to see them all! Just a little more time left!
My weekends are my only free time to cut. They have all been busy. After the gym I’m sending a Hail Mary. See if I can pull one out tonight last minute.

I will guess that it is Beers mountain jasper, closely related to Biggs jasper, or it is China Hollow from Oregon.

Wasn't sure I'd get a chance to do anything this month, but I got time for one June cab. I ended up going a slightly different direction from the photos, but was happy to get something to submit.
The slab. I don't know what the material is. It's something I got from Dr DG in a box of mixed slabs over a year ago. I'm definitely more lapidary than rockhound at this point.

Another beautiful set of entries! You all never fail to amaze me.
Once again there will be a bit of a delay between the contest deadline and the start of voting so if anyone is working one one but worried about finishing get WIP placeholder photos posted and catch up the photos tomorrow!
[edit]There appear to be no open placeholders so the contest is officially closed! I'll have the voting poll up and running as soon as I can - hopefully Tuesday night.[/edit]
