I recently obtained a piece of art that I consider to be stunningly beautiful, and the craftsmanship is nothing less than masterful. I love this kind of stuff and am lucky to have gotten it from one of our own here at RTH.
The next photo is a clue who the artist is. Can you guess who? Can you guess what it is?
More photos to follow after a while....

Let's make this fun. The first person to guess who the artist is will get a coprolite specimen from me. I'm that overjoyed to have this treasure.

That must be a knapped knife from RickB. Truly an artist! The woodwork is as nice as the knapping.

I'm surprised someone guessed it this fast. Now let's proceed to some photos.... The blade is mahogany obsidian from Oregon, the handle is live oak from South Carolina.

I've always admired his work, so that was an easy guess! And what a beautiful knife! I love that obsidian blade. But the combination of the wood handle with the obsidian is what really completes the look.

What a great gift! Rick's knives are something else. The blades are high precision, but the way he matches those wildly organic handles is true art.

Thanks for the nice comments and glad you like the knife Randy. For all the good you do here on RTH it was your time for some payback. RickB

brian instructed me to pass his prize along to the next newbie who posts in the coprolite thread. We'll define newbie as someone with less than 200 posts. Thanks to Brian and Rick.

Thanks Pat but, RickB = RickBlade Ricky blade would be his nascar nick name. As he cuts through the competition like a knapped blade through butter
