Is there a comprehensive list of stones/mineral that should use Linde A to get the best shine? I've looked at many different charts, but they're very limited on the variety of stones that should use it so I'm stuck with trial and error (jade, bloodstone etc...) Or maybe there a rule of thumb. I think I was told rocks that have a variety of hardnesses should use linde A? Thanks.

You've probably seen this chart, but just in case, this one is easily printed, but not very complete.
I will add that I think there is more info in " Gem Cutting: A Lapidary's Manual by John Sinkankas". Chapter 19 "Treatment of Gemstones" has more info on cutting & polishing. He doesn't list every stone, but certainly more complete than the charts are.
A used copy can be found pretty cheap.
