I have a 15 lb rubber barrel that is very old. It leaks around the top. I have tried rubber bands, silicone and teflon paste. I need to replace the barrel. So for no luck. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Pull the liner out and examine it really carefully for cracks or holes. The barrel can leak from anywhere and the water can still come out from the top. If there is a hole or crack, then seal it both inside and out with a little Goop. Goop is like a super silicone and holds up really well to the tumbling rocks.

Thanks. This doesn’t have a liner. It’s a rubber barrel. It leaks around the top of the barrel at the inner lid.

That’s the trouble. Multiple pin holes in the lid and lid gasket. The out lid has been patched with some kind of epoxy. Looks like I need a lid, seal and outer lid. Any suggestions as to where to get new ones? Thanks for the help

Cutting your own will ensure a proper fit if you do not know the name of the barrel manufacturer.

You cut it so it would allow the metal lid with the stud to just press fit it in? You didn’t try to wrap the lid?

I think it’s a very old Lorraine barrel. Heavy 10 sided barrel inside. A little thinner in the bottom. I looked up a Lorraine replacement outer lid and the dimensions matched. I can’t find any in stock. Found a replacement barrel and lid. $175 seemed a little steep.
