1dave Thank you for this good video. Some of my property is on the southern Appalachian mountain's old edge butting up against the foreland basin and the ridge and valley land. The pasture below me and the ridge across the valley from me are totally different geologically. There is a fault line running North-South indicated thru the valley abutting my mountain land on the western edge. As I cut roads around the mountain property, I am always trying to figure the pattern and directions and composition of the ancient layers I expose. It's a deciduous rainforest and 100% covered in large timber and huge variety of vegetation. So, one can only observe what is exposed in my creeks and road cuts or water well bore hole drilling tailings brought up.
