In search of either a QT66 motor or complete base. My QT66 motor seized up and I have 2 barrels half way through a grit cycle. Would be minimum 3 weeks to get from Minnesota Lapidary. Thank you in advance

I purchased my replacement (a Fasco motor) from Zoro. Just need specs on side. That was actually what my original post in RTH was about!

I sourced a qt12 motor from mls less than a month back. He told me he's waiting on a large shipment of lortone parts.
I know I mentioned mls to someone on Facebook so maybe word has spread.
I feel like someone else just said that covington? May have surplus lortone parts.
Kingsley had told me (after waiting over 6 months for a qt12 motor on backorder that if they didn't receive any that he would be happy to provide me with the specs/source one from somewhere else...
Good luck, id get one now before they become non existent.
It seems goofy that every motor I've seen besides tumbler motors have a spec plate!?!

I actually talked to Courtney at Kingsley North and she said it hasn't been completely confirmed yet but it sounds like Lortone has been bought. Minnesota Lapidary Supply said they are expecting 100 in the next couple weeks from like Indonesia or something like that.

Thank you JR8675309 JR8675309 for the win or whoever posted to soak in odorless mineral spirits. Soaked it overnight then my husband took the pulley off, attached his drill and worked it back and forth. Easily rolls both 6# barrels now. Thanks Kelly

Here's my qt66 original Model should give you RPMs That is tge same motor that showed up in the mail from mls. It is a little bigger than the original that burnt up but that one was from the 70's. Haven't plugged it in yet, been rolling my qt12 barrel on the thumler's model B base. If memory serves I bought an idler shaft for a thumler's 2x3lb model and moved the plastic washers (spacers) to fit the qt12 barrel. I like the fact that the model B has an extra notch so you can move the idler shaft to roll 3 lb barrels. I've also found I can fit 2x4.5lb barrels (lortone 45c) in the qt12 base and also the thumlers model B base. Happy tumbling! ~Josh
