I would tend to say Deschutes on darn near all of them though I’m not sure about the lighter, looser wave type ones.

2 is definitely the most Deschutesey. :-) You don't think any others? I have some as well that I should try and sort between Biggs or Deschutes.

Blue deschutes. Because no one would believe me otherwise. More of a purple, but the light is distorting the color

realrockhound - OMG thank you! I'm so happy you took the time to do this after I asked. Thanks so much! First, because those are beautiful! That massive one could be a bookend as is! Stunning! Second, because it helped me a lot seeing yours. I've been collecting the ones I find in a box. I asked my husband, "Why are all of them broken?" He didn't understand what I meant. Since your pieces look the same as what I'm finding, I'm starting to think they are just made that way. It's not the first time I have asked him that. For many the smaller pieces, (like 6" or smaller) I keep wondering if there is more to it, if it's broken, or if they just come that way. So this is incredibly helpful! Keep sharing more goodies when you can. Even if it's redundant like you shared years ago, I haven't dug back that far into this forum and I love seeing what you post! Thanks so much! Anyway. Thanks for sharing these! So beautiful. Do you face polish them or are those the ones you get to play with?

Thanks for sharing these! So beautiful. Do you face polish them or are those the ones you get to play with? Rocks as you're aware, all come in shapes and sizes. So they could just be small slabs from small pieces. Only real way to tell if they have been broke is by looking at the edge. If its smooth, good possibility it broke off a bigger slab. Especially if its a very uniform edge. I did post a couple pics that were out of that bucket awhile ago, but believe me when I say, that was a small sample. there is easily close to 2000 lbs of biggs. and descutes sitting here on the property, between rough and slabs. Among countless other materials. And I'm still trying to bring more in hahaha
