omg! I was going to ask you if you could fix it, then I deleted the question because I thought it was a dumb one.
Tweekers beware! Tossing cabs out like shurikin!

My personal belief is just take the L. For me, fractures in cabs (the final product) looks horrendous. Some can pass if they are minor, but this one is just too much for my liking.

You just need to find some young kid to give it to. They will love it until they grow up and realize it has a crack and then they will remember the !%#$ that give it to them.

The Blue Ice Polka Dot Agate is amazing; thanks for sharing some photos.
Glad I was able to snag some in the past.
I always wondered what happened to West Coast Gems on eBay; I think that was the West Coast Mining eBay account. If I am not mistaken, West Coast Mining operates this mine (or used to).

realrockhound - I'm dying to ask a few probably par-tar questions. (par-tar = not complete mental handicapped, just partially there) 1. How do you know when there's something good inside? 2. Are these just lying about (like big gravel), or do you have to dig out of dirt somehow? 3. How do you break them open on site like that? 4. are you ever afraid that when you break them open you'll ruin them? Just wondering....I'll go to my room now.

Just wondering....I'll go to my room now. you never truly know what’s going to be inside. However with years of experience you can “determine” which ones might produce or not. From the first picture, you can see they are in a dirt bed, and you have to dig them out of the earths ground. I wasn’t supposed to break it open, part of there rules. So before I completely excavated it out of the wall, in the first picture, I windowed a whole in it. Then when I knew what I had, used my rock pick to split it in two right there 😂. And yes, I’m always afraid of ruing things. But I took a gamble because I wasn’t going to spend money to pack garbage back home. Couple lil tips did get broken. But if I had put it on a saw, they probably would have got cut clean off regardless

I think I need to set up my own field trip and take a bunch of members out one day. Then hit one of those mines, show you guys just what exactly to dig for. What’s good, what’s leaverite. Then clean them outta house and home

Not west coast mining any more, Dale Hewitt sold everything to John Cooke, Family Stones is his business name. Matt the FranTom guy sphereguy is also a major player with the company. Don't know how I missed this thread, or why it popped to the top of my old posts link realrockhoundIf you ever want to do a NW RTHlings field trip let me know, John has a lot of locations that he may be able to open up to us.
