I have found that the best way to destroy your enemies is to make them hated by everyone else. Turn their family against them, turn their co-workers against them. Everyone. Even their dog. Bring them down so far that they jump off of a bridge. This is the nuclear option. Rarely have I needed it.

Actually the best way to destroy an enemy is stay away from them and let them self destruct. You might think the answer is to undermine them but in real life it eventually backfires.
I've lived long enough to have witnessed this enough times that I know it's a predictable pattern. There's a certain self defilement that comes from harming others even if they earned it. Self defense being an exception of course.

I too believe when 1dave 's good option is not available then RWA3006 's option is most often the next best course of action to be able to feel happiest with yourself... long term.
