This one I can't photograph well in this light, but it's purple. A lot more purple than the picture indicates. If nobody knows this one, I'll take photos outside in the morning.

I was wondering that same thing but wasn’t positive about it But did find petrified bog from chilko lake British Columbia and can’t find anything online because it’s a resort and pretty much protected area now Found this but don’t list a color

vegasjames - Thank you. Question for you if you get a chance. Would I label this as just "Amethyst, unknown location? Or do you think I should keep going in the amethyst direction (ie. mindat) and figure out the location?

tribeunited whenever you get around to it, could you post a pic of it outside? I’m really curious to see the details of that one!

cabby now I don't know what color it is! It's black or purple indoors, I was as shocked as you when I got it outside!!!! It appears black or purple until there is light behind it.

It definitely looks brecciated. I don't know how well it would cab, but it's pretty damn cool.
ETA brecciated means it was broken up at some far off time and then over more time, it solidified back into one piece.

Pretty confident it’s just off brand chevron amethyst. Meaning it doesn’t look like what you typically see.

Quotes realrockhound - "I'm pretty sure that's just some crap like the gravel I ran over in my driveway... I got about 10 kilos on the property that I chuck at tweekers and hobos...." I'm kidding...sorry it was hard to resist! You know we love you....

The brecciated is why I wanted to see more pics 🤣 so much going on in there that it was hard to tell what various shapes were in the original rock. I sure didn’t expect pink, though!
