I think the larger one qualifies but I'm not sure what it is... maybe Kambaba Jasper. I got the smaller one from an estate so I have no idea about what it is. Any guesses?

rocknrob - I can't tell by the first photo if your orby material has any green in it. All of the Kambaba I've come across has some green, whether in the matrix or the orbs or whatnot. Here's one That doesn't mean it isn't, I'm just sharing what I have personally come across.

The first one doesn't look Kambaba Jasper to me. The second one could be Ocean Jasper or River Jasper, but the picture area is really small. Would help if we could zoom in 4x.

Compared to your Kambaba tribeunited mine is so very subtle green. I've got a rainforest jasper sphere and it looks nothing like that, not enough reds and variated green colors. The smaller one might be a moss agate of some sort but it's not very translucent so I'm leaning towards a kind of jasper.

Look at oolitic jasper. Might be that Thanks for the suggestion! It's close, if I can find a darker example on the internet it would be a match. Most of the stuff I see is pretty tan with darker orbs. I'll try to take a picture of it on white paper for a good color comparison when I get back from my walk.

I did it! It must be a big event because EVERYONE is celebrating. People on my street are even lighting fireworks!

Here's a closer shot against white, I'll look further on the internet for some oolitic jasper but I've not seen one this dark yet. Where does this stuff come from? I think I got this off a Facebook sale.

I also should ask, would this be a prohibitively expensive material for a mid level cabber like myself to try?

Ok! Oolitic Jasper it is! Awesome find everyone! Thank you! So, does anyone have an idea of what the smaller piece is? It's around a 7 on the Mohs scale but so is most Jasper-ish things.

The second piece could be (low grade) Indonesian River Jasper that the orbs mostly faded.
