Got a few good ones to turn out last night! Finstead 3 are baby malawis, I trim sawed the nodule by hand, these turned out nice and similar, might make some earrings and a small pendant: (Up close) Next up is a crazy lace preform I got ages ago: Then we have a river crossing agate my partner bought 1lb of rough for my bday (believe it came from highland park/spheremaster on ebay). I Really Really like these! FI ally a cool bit of unusual but still pretty sure owyhee (of some sort) picture jasper. The opposite side was busier but I like the minimalist look: Also, recently finished tumbling a batch of wisconsin moonstone. Being a feldspar (softer than quartz/agate/jasper) I started them them off in the vibe at 400 grit sc, then 800ao, followed by micro alumina. I like that they retained a kind of natural look! Thanks for looking, starting to get into the swing of things, hopefully more to come!!! Josh

The malawis are very nice. I don't think I have seen these cabbed.

I was being snoopy about some of your threads lapidary1234 because of a comment you made in another thread (nothing bad! LOL). I have to apologize. I remember pulling this thread up...as I remember those Malawis...but I never commented! Sheesh! I actually love what you did with those Malawis. Following the pattern like that to make freeforms was exactly what these pieces needed! Wicked smart! Great job on that Crazy Lace oval too!

jasoninsdHey thanks for the compliment! The malawis might just be my new favorite (still a suckered for imperial jasper). Each one is so different. The stuff in this post is from the gemshop in WI. I recently got a 5lb bsfmg of baby malawis that I've only cut a couple of. They are in the following pic. The rough piece is from spheremaster (hpl).
