Hopefully this will be the last hurricane of the season. Can we trade for healthy rains ?

I read this morning that there were 110 tornado warnings on Monday (yesterday) from Beryl — the most on record for any July day.

I read this morning that there were 110 tornado warnings on Monday (yesterday) from Beryl — the most on record for any July day. Here in Atlanta it is a love/need/hate relationship. We love the remnant rains, we hate the damaging effects. We need the rain, we hate the severe droughts when there is a shortage of hurricanes or distant hurricanes that pull the moisture away from us to say Texas or Louisiana or when they swing north and hit the NE US.

I read this morning that there were 110 tornado warnings on Monday (yesterday) from Beryl — the most on record for any July day. There were 60 in Louisiana alone. Smashed their old record of 30.

I am back, or should I say the Electricity is back on. Must have come back while I was mowing the front yard, taking a break before back yard. No damage here except most of the items in the two frigs/freezer are a loss as power was out for just over 3 days. There are still over 1 million customers without power. We had between 10 and 11 inches of rain and winds here were estimated at 65 mph with higher gusts for about 4 to 5 hours.
The good news is this was a Cat 1 storm, if it had been say a Cat 3 or Cat 4 out winds could have been 40 to 60 mph higher sustained. That would have been bad!!

Sorry about the fridges, but glad it wasn't worse. I've been through a Cat 1 in a trailer, so, even though it's unnerving, it's "doable".
Good to hear from you.
