A biggun'! Looks amazing. Where did you dig it? It does not look like Sowbelly to me, but I could be wrong.

Any advice on how to get that yellow off? You can try soaking it in Iron Out. That might work. Somebody else may have a better suggestion.

A biggun'! Looks amazing. Where did you dig it? It does not look like Sowbelly to me, but I could be wrong. I didn’t think so either but I found a lot of it around but the mines have an amethyst vein also, we haven’t gotten home yet, it was at last chance mine in Creede Colorado, an AMAZING place with awesome tours and tailings you can dig through, I dug about 4 feet down to get this one so it isn’t bleached out at all it’s a deep purple, it’s huge though, hard to carry! Couldn’t believe when they weighed it at 82lbs!!

Couldn’t believe when they weighed it at 82lbs!! If you dug it in Creede, it's possible, but I'm going by the picture and it has a lot of varnish on it, so it's hard to get an accurate impression. Maybe once it's cleaned up a bit we can be more definitive. Either way, it's gorgeous!
