I remember talking about Blue Mountain before, orbs being the good kind. Is this Blue Mountain, and is it the good stuff? There's orbs but they look kind of drippy so I don't really know for sure. ID- Either A grainy hot mess of a Blue Mountain - thanks pebblesky and dreamrocks or really friggin awesome blue mountain - thanks rockjunquie

So yes a blue mountain, but are the orbs too sloppy to be a good one?

The texture doesn't look super fine (or maybe it is the picture itself) and the dark veins seem to be porous? Reduces the usable area for lapidary purpose.

I would guess with dense grainy stripes it will be hard to polish.

I wouldn't call it Blue Mountain. It could be. The orb lines are fuzzy

It’s blue mountain. But due to how grainy and potchy it is, I’d call it blue poo 😂
Ive cut similar. That grainy stuff just doesn’t come out, almost soft and undercuts if you will. This is common in vistaite.

I think it's really friggin awesome and I bet it polishes well. I'd be super curious on this one. This is where a loupe would come in handy. If the "pock-mark" looking spots are actually a part of the pattern...or if they're actually pits could be determined with a bit of magnification. If they're pattern, I think this would make some SICK cabs...
