While looking through my books for IDs, I came across this on pg 126 in Picture Jasper of the Northwest by Hans Gamma and Lauritz Jensen. I have been trying to ID this since I bought the cab in something like 2000. It's one of the highest prices I paid for a cab at the time, 35.00, but I had to have it. It was named a hickoryite, but I always knew that was wrong.
Hans calls this Y-Hee Rose Jasper and says it's extinct. What do you think??

I like the rosy color. What is the dimension of your cab? It looks so cool.

It does have some resemblance to Owyhee jasper although I don’t remember ever seeing pink in any I’ve seen. It also kind of reminds me of Binthalya opal. It’s a beautiful cab.
not shure of the spelling on the opal.

That's pretty close, I would say that or owyhee sunset jasper. I think your guess is more likely though!

Merely "endangered" if you still have a cab.

I'd say it's spot on, Tela. It's a beauty for sure!
