You’re gonna have to say way worse to offend me 😂 What is up with the jasper vs quartzite question for the Indian Blanket? I suppose it would get a better price if they call it jasper?

The agate cushioning is pretty awesome! tribeunited got confused and figured out why… #4 should be blue forest petrified wood. #5 is unidentified

For #2, is it all the same minerals? The texture of the black looks a bit different, so maybe a brecciated jasper with basalt? But what kind of jasper would be beyond me…

indigenous people blanket jasper rmf - thank you for the info on #4 - I'll add that and your credit. cabby - thanks for keeping my head on straight. I'll fix it. I think its brecciated, no clue what it is though. Bizarre, right?

I followed the link cabby - so opalite means either man made or a form of a common opal. I wonder why this is an opalite and not a jasper. I also wonder why the first one was so grainy like chris1956 pointed out, and if that is still considered a jasper. The first one is so different, I feel like it should be like a totally different blanket. My Indian Paints so far have all been purple and yellow. That one has oranges and whatnots. Hrmm... maybe one of those different locations, same name kind of things.

Indian blanket "jasper" is probably another misnomer, but I'm not sure.
