The last week and a half has been exhausting. I'd get home from work, and I was mentally spent. Most of the time when I make cabs, I don't have to use either of the two brain cells I have left...so I made some cabs instead of posting on the forum! LOL
Some of these cabs have flaws...but due to the material, I'm not pitching them in the trash can! LOL
Crazy Lace Agate - sold as Ice Candle Lace Agate The amount of parallax banding in this material is insane!!
Psilomelane Cabochon - NDK - Nate was the last one to post a Psilomelane cab...and his pics were way better than mine! LOL - There's a flaw in the girdle...but I didn't want to lose any of that fortification area!
Coober Pedy Opal - hummingbirdstones - I can't thank you enough Robin! realrockhound - Yeah...taking pics of these is a b!tch!! LOL
Karoit Boulder Opal - another piece from Birdy!
Lapis Lace Onyx
South Dakota Prairie Agate - found by me! LOL tribeunited tagging you as this was the "deep red" one brought up before...
Willow Creek Jasper
Hell's Canyon Petrified Wood via khara out of the Traveling Box. This cab is SICK!! (In a good way! LOL)
Parrot Wing Chrysocolla via orneryboi - I'm still gonna square up with you on this! - This was the already started cab. I changed the shape.
Bumblebee Jasper - I made sure not to lick my fingers after working this one. I told my wife it contained Arsenic...which made her nervous. LOL

Wow! You were busy on the wheels. That crazy lace is crazy.
Thanks Chris!!
Yes it is!! There's quite a bit of fracturing in the rough...but when I can find a good clear spot, I think the cabs are going to all be top-notch!
I can't believe the amount of parallax banding that is throughout this material. I have about 35 pounds...and I've seen it in most of the rocks I've faced...

All top tier quality and craftsmanship, per usual! I’d expect nothing less.
Thanks Brother!
Wait until you see what I did to that Royal Eyes Cabenite! LOL

These two stand out from the rest. I've never seen this color combo before...
Feels like it should be called Mothwing
Fun pieces for sure, I think some of your best captures
Thanks Chad!
Well shoot! I actually can't take full credit on the captures! LOL - The Karoit was just about that basic shape...I just tweaked it a little. LOL
On the Wood, I did know I was going to use that shape...but I asked my wife to choose a shape from the stencils I handed her...just to see what she would come up with. She chose this one! So...I'm giving her the "credit"!

Awww...thanks Charity!
By the way, that Parrot Wing was SUPER solid! I was stoked how that one turned out for sure!
The Karoit Boulder Opal and the Crazy laces are so pleasant to look at. The sick Hells Canyon one is really sick...
Thanks PS!
I think both of those are my wife's favorites as well!
Yeah...the "agatized" tubes in that Hell's Canyon are something special (to me!).

Good grief Jason. That Karoit cab is very special. But the psylomelane stands out also. Outstanding material and workmanship.
Thanks Evan!
I've got another piece of that Karoit which...if I can get it to turn out...will be another jaw-dropper! It might be a spell before I have the guts to work that one though! LOL - I wish I could show everyone "in person" what that Psilomelane actually looks like! The pictures were SO hard to get things to show.

Beauties, Jason! The Crazy Lace with the peach druzy is amazing. You need to send me that Psilomelane so I can set it in silver for you as a pendant. That may be the most kick ass cab you've made to date. The Hell's Canyon is mad sick, too.
Robin
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Seriously? You honestly think that Psilomelane is really all that??
That dang druzy cab was a pain! LOL - I shallowed the initial grind on that...and ended up with a "flat spot"...which took forever to correct. Mainly because I refused to go back to the 220 hard! LOL

I get to choose too, so I’m pickin’ two, those two Crazy Lace pretending to be Lagunas.
Sweet pair ya cut there., Jason.
Consider the Earth’s history as the old measure of the English yard, the distance from the King’s nose to the tip of his outstretched hand. One stroke of a nail file on his middle finger erases human history.
Really nice Jason, Top of the tree stuff, you're a star. it's too cold to do any cutting here, not snowing cold just frosty cold. I don't mind winter but it sure curtails paddling around in water.

Jason, thanks so much for the titillation of my two remaining brain cells. It's been a while since I've taken the time to look at your cabs, too long indeed. If it ever goes below 100 deg. here again, I may just finish setting up my new cab machine and give it a whirl again--you certainly have motivated that.
