Don’t know the name I bought it online and the guy didn’t know what the name of it was. I liked so I bought it anyway. I posted on here for I’d but no one seemed to know either. It’s covered in small drusy crystals on the outside and some clay also. This side shows both the drusy’s and the clay

dreamrocks - Did you just pick this up recently? If so, it looks like what Zippy Rocks (on eBay) is selling as Ice Candle Lace Agate...and Bubble Lace Agate. I really think that's exactly what this is. I had picked some up from him and saw the same type of crystalline surface on several of the pieces. Mine is also riddled with fractures...which I find utterly frustrating! However, the pieces "between" the fractures is insane!

jasoninsd I just looked at zipped rocks they are similar but not the same. Those are more like laguna patterns mine is not. Mine only has the long pattern only on the top edge and nothing in the center The smaller pieces only have a bullseye pattern surrounded by white chalcedony

It’s sad how few lace agates get names. I dislike having to call all of my various lace agates the same name, considering how vastly different some of them are.
Either way, that’s a gorgeous piece!

cabby thank you This one to me is very different from crazy lace because what you see is what there is. jasoninsd I do agree that does resemble the ones you mentioned but to me there are distinct differences between the two.

dreamrocks has it felt any different to work than other laces? Between the pale color and the amount of quartz, I was wondering if it might be a Missouri lace agate. Don’t have any, myself, but pretty sure I read something about them being a bit softer than Mexican crazy lace.

No it has more chalcedony then quartz there doesn’t seem to be any difference when grinding it’s definitely a agate
