I've got a few shows coming up and I'm looking forward to them. This Sunday I'll be at Modstock. Over 110 bands, 60 vendors plus food vendors. In a nice park in Modesto. No admission charge. After that at the end of September I'll be up at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds which is in the historic gold town of Angels Camp. The fairgrounds is where the frog jumping contest takes place that Mark Twain helped make famous. His old cabin is right down the road. We'll be camping in our trailer at a lake that's about 5 minutes from the fairgrounds. It's the Blues and Bones festival. Blues music and BBQ. We've been attending the last few years. Gen admission tickets are $39.99 and the booth was only $75. I'll save a few bucks from not buying tickets plus maybe make a few bucks selling. The whole area is on a hillside park. The vendor booths are uphill from the stage so we'll be able to see fine from there. The one I'm most excited about, and a bit surprised that I got in as a guest vendor is the Northern California Renaissance Faire. It's the big one in Northern CA and last for 6 weekends. I got in for one. Not cheap but it should be fun. We have to be in costume and had to submit pics. Fortunately, I've got shots of my wife and I doing our Viking thing last Halloween. That ones in the middle of Oct. Then in Nov I'm doing another Ren Faire in Fresno. Then the end of Nov I'm back at Vintage at the Yard. I've done 3 sales there already. Should be fun. I'm hoping my hammered pendants will be popular at the Ren Faire. I'm going to have to bump my prices for that one. Along with other fees they take 15% of your sales. Add that to the over 9% sales tax (which I've been including in my prices) plus a bit for taking credit cards over 1/4 of my gross sales are gone right off the top.
