It's been a little busy, but we've gotten a few things done. I'm going to just throw everything in one thread to save time and all that. Going backwards, too, just because I feel like it. Just did Art in the Park in Ely this past weekend. This show has always been good to us, and was again this year. Good crowd, small town stuff so most people were just there for the food trucks and visiting with their buds. A good percentage was spending money, which always makes us happy. Especially when they are spending it in our booth.
Two weeks earlier we decided it was time to goof off for a day. Went exploring an area we'd been wanting to check out for too long. Good news is the pinion pines are making cones this year, so pretty soon it will be pine nut time. Even found a few interesting rocks. Probably have to head back over there.
A couple of days before that we went up to Montello to see the Big Boy on it's return to Cheyenne. They had taken it to Roseville, CA for exhibits and stuff. It's an oil burning steam engine. If I remember right they built 25 of them, 8 are still around. This one runs, and I know there is one in Canada somewhere. Don't recall all the specs but the engine alone weighs 1.1 million pounds. We missed it a few years ago when they went through Caliente so we figure we'd better try and catch it this time.
And, a couple of weeks before that we did the annual Rock show in Ely. Another show that has always been good to us.
So, that's pretty much the highlights for the summer. No more shows for a while so now I have to settle down and get some stuff accomplished. Thanks for looking and have a great day. Russ

Good to hear that all is well for you. Sometime around 2019 when we scouted Benson AZ as a possible resting place we were there when an ancient giant steam engine like that passed through, I think they said like 3x the standard engine of the time designed to pull large trains of coal or possibly ore. We were thinking of driving up the basin through Ely when we went North this year, then ended up leaving a few days late due to waiting for meds for the dog.

If you do wind up in this neck of the woods sometime give me a holler. Russ

Do you sell your work here on RTH? Pat, I haven't . Not really sure how I'd go about it. But thanks for asking. Russ
