I buy super seven specimens on eBay. I look for some gold color which is cacoxenite. Flattened the bottom and drew the largest shape that would fit. 55mm length

Wow, gorgeous! I hope to find some of this material in my collection, it's so pretty. The cabs almost look like they would be translucent, but so much depth of color. Thanks for sharing these

Wow that turned out fantastic. It showed a lot of potential in the rough stage and you found the rest in the final stages. How did you flatten the bottom of the stone? I practice a lot with tumbling rough and I use a magnetic flat discs to flatten them out after I grind on my 60grit wheel. Very nice piece you sure have an eye for material. Thx for sharing

Same technique with textured 80 grit and an 80 grit flat lap which is worn.
