I split a S7 nodule and made two cabs. I bought a piece of chevron amethyst and the seller threw in a chunk of amethyst from their reject pile. It was full of matrix but I found an area where I likes the pattern, took a slice and made a pear cabochon. Unfortunately there was some matrix on the bottom but I thought it was worth finishing.
