Batch #265. Not many stones finished up stage one last week so just a small finished batch this week. Less then half of a lot-o barrel. The rest was ceramic. Mostly just filler for kids grab bags but a nice piece of tiger eye and and nice Botswana agate too.
Skipped the 1000 A/O step on this batch. It is not always required and I make that determination after reviewing dry stones after 500.
Stage one 46-70 SC Rotary for as many weeks as necessary to remove all flaws.
Stage two 2 tablespoons 120/220 SC + 1 tablespoon of borax lot-o vibe for 24 hours.
Stage three 1/2 teaspoon 500 AO + 1 tablespoon of borax and mixed size ceramics in the lot-o vibe for 48 hours.
Stage five 1/2 teaspoon Rockshed AO polish + 1 tablespoon of borax and mixed size ceramics in the lot-o vibe for 48 hours.
These did not get a burnish stage at the end. This is optional and not always needed.
