this one is my favorite! Not only are the colors really vibrant against the dark background, but the shape and pattern makes it look like a bivalve. where are these beauties from?

Love the plumes and bright colors but the dark one with the ribbon one is my favorite too. I love that pattern that seems to defy logic.
One time up at upper Stony Creek I almost killed myself humping 50 lb boulder up a steep wet dirt path through the trees because when I pulled it out of the water it had a similar interesting pattern. It turned out to be total crap when I cut it but at least I scratched the itch and don't have to wonder about it
