Hey all, first time tumbler here! Every resource I read drilled it into my brain - no slurry in the plumbing!! It was my first and foremost thought at all times lol SO I cleaned everything on my grass with a garden hose...but I think after the most recent rain, it looks like there's a trail of gray leading from the grass where I did my cleaning 😬 if anyone has tips about how I might be able to clean that grit trail up, I would appreciate it so much!!

Welcome from Missouri. I think most people take the slurry, let it settle in 5 gallon buckets and then decant the liquid off the top. That decanted liquid is what they may put on their lawn. When I do this it always seems to wash away in the rain. They you have to let the settled grit dry (takes a long time) and then throw that dry grit out in the garbage.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! Chris has the right advice going forward...as far as the existing slurry in the grass...well...I would suggest raking it in...

Thank you so much 😄 the problem is moreso that the slurry has already migrated from the grass to the concrete and now there's a wide, dry gray trail down my walkway LOL

I could be wrong...but I think I'm right! LOL Found this...which I would personally try first: There are a few ways to remove thinset from concrete, including using a chemical solution, a grinder, or other methods: Vinegar and water: Spray a mixture of white vinegar and water on the thinset, let it sit for 15 minutes, then scrub or brush it off. Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.

Ohh yeah that makes sense, I'm still getting a handle on the lingo 😅 AH that sounds perfect thank you!! I'm going to give it a try!! And then no more haphazardly spraying off my rocks/barrels in the grass...but at least I still have working plumbing, which was my ultimate goal 🤣 I appreciate you!!

I have found it helpful to dig a semi deep hole to dump my slurry and cleanup water down into. No matter where else I would dump it, the rain would cause it to migrate to other places where it was unwelcome. Half of our gravel driveway is still gray and there is a big patch of gray on a far corner of our lawn. It stains for a LONG time outside. dont get me started about when the dog used to walk through my old surface dumping area and track it inside. Slurry is worse than poop tracked throughout the house.
