pebblesky, not sure where to put this so just started a new thread. This was one that survied tumbling but didn't polish much . I had a chance today and polished it on the cabber. Polished ok but the detail of the coral still didn't come out well. I like the pink color. Wondering if they dyed it in China?

Not sure but I think this stone is the one in the lower right of this pic of the China fossils before polishing.

I also tumbled a couple of them in my recent batch with no luck at all. Frosted and looked worse than the tumbled look on your picture. I can hardly recognize them until I am reminded by your post.

Your polished cab looks very nice. I don't think these are dyed. It seems pink is a quite common color in Chinese corals like this. It is a pity the patterns don't come out as clear as those harder Indonesian fossil corals.
