pebblesky, not sure where to put this so just started a new thread. This was one that survied tumbling but didn't polish much . I had a chance today and polished it on the cabber. Polished ok but the detail of the coral still didn't come out well. I like the pink color. Wondering if they dyed it in China? Not sure but I think this stone is the one in the lower right of this pic of the China fossils before polishing. Before (after tumbling) and after pics on the dop stick. Polished pretty well. You can just see the coral pattern on the closeup.

I also tumbled a couple of them in my recent batch with no luck at all. Frosted and looked worse than the tumbled look on your picture. I can hardly recognize them until I am reminded by your post.
Your polished cab looks very nice. I don't think these are dyed. It seems pink is a quite common color in Chinese corals like this. It is a pity the patterns don't come out as clear as those harder Indonesian fossil corals.
