I set up that poll so I could get over my hump. It ended up inspiring me.  So, I set about trying to do something I've never done before. A new bail design. BUT, somewhere along the line it went haywire. The worse part is I was using soft copper. The bail will never hold up. As it is- it doesn't look too bad, but it's radically different from what I envisioned. I LOVE the Hubei turquoise, so I'll try again. |

Of course I have no idea what you were aiming for, but I would be entirely happy with that. What I especially like is that it adds "class" and interest to an almost oval stone without detracting even a bit. |

I'm not TOO unhappy with it and it does give me ideas on how to do it differently, but yeah, it wasn't what I was aiming for. I can always count on you to be my cheerleader. Thanks so much. I like the bail, the beads really help tie it together.
And if it helped you get wrapping again, it can't be bad. And if it helps you think on what you'll do different next time, even better.

rockjunquie I am also a huge fan, the scope of different types and colours is pretty amazing. We found folks on IG selling directly from the Red River Canyon mine in Hubei Province, and have bought a fair bit from them now. It is unstabilized, but I am teaching myself to vacuum/Cactus Juice them. Have done one batch perfectly, and then murdered the second batch. Apparently had too much moisture in the rock which affected the CJ. Live and learn! :-)
