Hi all. I’m a rockhound and beginner lapidarist from Oregon. I hunt the beaches and riverbanks for whatever catches my eye, mainly agates and Jasper. I’m a big fan of the river/ocean tumbled crust. In the past I’ve been opposed to using a tumbler because there’s less creative control than using wheels, but I got so much damn material I’m gonna have to start!! Any tips are welcome. Also I’m in the market for a saw, Oregon folks let me know if you have a lead! Thanks.

Welcome from Central California! Lot's of great info here if you peruse through the tumbling sub forum or do a search for something specific. Probably the number one piece of advice that new tumblers need is get some decent polish for stage 4.
