Nice polish!. I like the dark quartz one (at least one side of it). I always wonder if ones like that are quartzite or just really broken quartz. ??

Thanks! Nice polish!. I like the dark quartz one (at least one side of it). I always wonder if ones like that are quartzite or just really broken quartz. ?? I may be mistaken, but I think that it is a Schist/Quartzite mix. The side that didn't polish much looks like Schist. Lots of Mica in it.

Nice collection, python. Thanks for sharing the pictures ! It's amazing how the same rock type can have so many different colors ! I have never seen completely clear quartz like that ! They could be mistaken for pieces of ice !

They could be mistaken for pieces of ice ! Thanks! I really like those clear pieces and am pretty proud that I was able to tumble them so well and make them so clear. Just a side note, these were done entirely in a rotary tumbler. And not a brand name one either. It is a Koolstone brand from Amazon that spins pretty fast like the National Geographic kind. So for those who don't have a vibe or a name brand tumbler, you can still get great results if you pay attention to detail and have patience. 👍
