The glass pieces look pretty cool. I Just learned that some of these black Chalcedony Rose could be Occo Agate instead. Some of the black pieces I tumbled look exactly like the tumbled Occo Agates (for example this one: live.staticflickr.com/65535/53824249624_412bc5a7e7_o.jpg). I am not sure though, but since some inner Mongolian sellers marketed everything to be from the Gobi Desert, I believe a good portion of them are actually not.

I thought that black one looked a lot different than the others. Thanks.

Glass can be so dang finiky! There's some cool patterns in there...so worth the effort!

Interesting, I understand Glass generates gas. Did you have any problems with that?

Interesting, I understand Glass generates gas. Did you have any problems with that? No. But I think that was because I just did these few pieces and it probably wasn't enough to cause too much gas. Plus the glass was rounded to start with so it wasn't like I was starting at 80 grit and grinding away a lot of material.

They came out very nice. I'm loving the colors of polished glass. Thanks for sharing.

Someone at the show last weekend said they put a little baking soda in their tumble batches to deal with the gas, as soon as I switch to stage 2 on the foaming Amethyst in one of our barrels I plan to try it to see if the foaming stops.
