I wish I had a before picture of this one. The preform has been sitting around for probably a couple of months because it just didn't look that great. It had a light area on the back inside but the rest of it was just plain green. I was real surprised when I ground it and the orbs appeared.

It came out lovely! What material is that? We are still learning... :-) I think Jason is correct. It was just a small piece that I received from somewhere. Small enough that I had to put it in a quart milk carton with plaster to slice it up. I had what I though was one cool piece and this one looked like a dud until I finally ground it. Thanks Patty, I really like it. I think this one will go in a smithed setting. I already have an idea for a Bruneau cab with a very similar pattern. It came out lovely! What material is that? I was stoked when I started forming it and of course Royal Imperial polishes so nicely.

It had to have been like grinding Batcave...where it can just keep getting better and better as the pattern starts emerging!
