Just got back from the Post Office to mail a package, and even though their board reflected a lower price, the shipping rang up higher. I asked about it and was told that postal rates increased again last Monday. Here are screen shots for the new postal rates for flat rate packages we use.

Today, I paid $6.05 to mail a pair of socks to West Virginia. Socks were in an envelope lined with bubble wrap. It was the cheapest option.

Not enough rows and columns w/identical prices to keep Officer Obie happy.

Pirate Ship is the answer (for me anyway). I'm not sure how they offer cheaper prices, but it makes shipping a whole lot easier. Print your label at home, stick it on the box & Bob's your uncle !! www.pirateship.com/Thanks to Tela for turning me onto it

Just be careful if you run an Etsy business, but they’re not allowing Pirateship to mail packages through their site anymore
