Guessing (estimating) Game

When I got out of college I move to Houston with a frat bro and got hired by the Petty Ray Geophysical division of Geosource, processing seismic lines from the salt domes and diapirs of the Gulf of Mexico.  There was a young mexican guy who worked in my group who told me that his uncle played keyboards for ? and the Mysterians.  He said his uncle wrote the music (or most of it) for 96 Tears and the bandleader, ?, refused to share songwriting credits with him.  He eventually left the band and got nothing for his contribution.  Last I knew, ? was making a living touring that song, but he might have passed by now.  Always claimed he was an alien from another planet.  Just a side note.
