I decided to try and groove wrap last night thanks to Patty liveoak. It turned out decent but I might redo it, the bail is too messy. Thanks for looking!   |

Good to get started, Mike.
Truth be told, I always thought that re-doing that top wrap was par for the course, at least for me, it is.
I don't want to admit how many tries I did on that granite to get the top just right.
In the end, I found putting the end of the wire in my vise, to pull it tight against, was needed to get that final wrap snug.
You'll get it.

I think it looks pretty good. I can see what you're talking about but don't think it's that bad. If you redo, it looks like you could just remove the wire wrapping around the bail and wrap a new piece around.
