I would also like to know. I bought some I believe almandine garnets (little chips) that had great color and tumbled excellent. Id love to find more. Alot of garnet crystals (especially with a rind on them) don't tumble the best.

Check out Etsy for tumbling rough. Nearly all my old contacts were for faceting grade which = $$$. Garnet's a very complex group of gems and prices vary tremendously depending on the species, color and quality. I do have a pound or two of nice red almandine but it may be too pricey for what you folks have in mind. I'll check my cost and determine a price if anyone's interested. I'm not looking to make a profit but I want to get my cost out.
