A really great looking group of cabs! I liked seeing the Outback Jasper! I just bought a chunk off eBay and it arrived the other day. I think I'll slab some of it tomorrow. The Fire Agate really looks spectacular! And I'm in agreement with you the Royal Imperial Jasper is such a nice material to work!!

jasoninsd here are the remaining slabs I have cut currently. These are shown dry actually. I did just pick some more up at the gem shop this last July. I try to take advantage of their bulk barrels outside, I think it costs like $6.00/lb or something really cheap! Honestly they have sooo much great material in their bulk barrels at great prices. The "mine run" imperial jasper is another favorite. These particular slabs remind me of nice cuts of steak for some reason. I've found it to be a bit on the softer side for a true jasper. I bet zam would work nicely as a polish.

lapidary1234 Great slabs! Interesting that you say Zam might work on softer Jaspers, I have had some Mookaite, which is not Jasper of course, but some of it polishes to a high sheen, and others not so much. I think based on what you said here, I will try Zam on my dull Mookaite, just to see!

Great bunch of cabs. I like the first plume (Trent) agate best. It's not a bad idea to wear gloves when working with malachite to avoid the copper content from possibly being ingested after getting it on your fingers and hands, and wear a mask to be on the safe side. The Imperial jasper is fabulous. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! I think the fire agate steals the show, but they are all tops.
