First attempt working this very unique patterns in them , I was please with how they polish. We brought a few home from a rock hounding trip this summer and my wife wanted a longer cab to wear so this was the design she drew up. Def will work some more of this .

I had never heard of Packstone. I love it! Crinoidal Limestone has been a favorite of mine for awhile. Nice to see another "version".

That as a pendant should get lots of comments, it's very unusual and the light colored spot with the spiral fossil is a little whimsical. Thanks for sharing.

Neither have i until i took a trip to South Haven for Lightingstones and picked them up, I am more acquainted with "Fossil Soup" Crinoidal Limestone myself. These so called packstone are brachiopods and other ancient "sea shells" fossilized in the same ancient mud that makes up the lightingstones. I didn't know any of this until i found a few and started r.esearching it

I have seen the stones that look like script stone from there but yours is something I haven't seen or haven't realized what it is. Thanks for sharing.

Nice way to bring new life to this material. I like it. Actually, I really like rich brown stones.
