Looks like I still have some polish trapped in the back! Funny how you can only see it now on the big-screen tv! :-)

whalecottagedesigns Post as often as you can!! I think we all love seeing rocks around here (I know I do)! That is a stunning stone, I especially like the plume bit in the center of the first pic! If the stone ends up being set, a little polish in a crevice on the back won't matter. I think we all probably beat our selves up striving for perfection. I try and remember that this is a hobby for me

Thank you kindly pebblesky jasond Pat and lapidary1234 This really is one of my very favourites now! And I am a big believer in striving towards perfection, but keeping a dollop of wabi-sabi in mind. That polish was just unexpected, it had gone through two cycles on the ultrasonic cleaner :-)

An interesting cut on a very interesting stone I'm glad I'm not the only one, that obsessives with polishing the back
Keep 'em coming !

The material, and the cut, and the polish are all very nice. I really like it. You shouldn't worry about posting too often, especially with such interesting material.

I think all the descriptives have already been used so I will just say I am speechless! That polish is two thumbs and a big toe up!. Post as often as you like!

Thank you kindly liveoak dshanpnw RWA3006 chris1956 and rocknrob As we are still learning, I can afford to take the time on the backs too, I imagine if you are doing this as a business, that may be counterproductive at times for some cabochons. Plus I am enjoying it too much to not make them pretty all over :-) You may regret saying I can keep posting! Theo

opalpyrexia Thank you! I find that as I mostly cut my own slabs, I tend to cut them a bit thicker than the ones one usually finds, so do create higher domes a bit more often maybe? But of course one would cut precious material a bit thinner, like my small handful of Pietersite and hydrogrossular garnet..
