Don't be so hard on yourself. What am I saying? We're all hard on ourselves! I think you pulled off two fine wraps, especially for your first two.
Youtube has a lot of beginner's wraps that would be good to start with to get an idea of which kind you actually prefer. There are a lot of different styles. Some even combine them all. Get your feet wet with some tutorials and see where it leads you.

Like Tela said...we are our own worst critics...trust me...I know all too well! I actually love what you did with that first one! I've tried to wrap tumbled stones and have never been satisfied with how mine look compared to the cabs I wrap. I'll echo what Tela said about the YouTube tutorials. I've done those, as well as the tutorials on here. If you search "tutorial" in the wire-wrapping subforum, you'll find them.

I don't think I could have shown my first couple wire wraps-so you're already ahead, in my opinion, since they look pretty good. The second agate slice is my fav.
I'd agree with what others have said, by looking on-line and see what style you actually like.
Personally, I'm not good at the video thing - I like written tutorials, which are also out there.
My only other suggestion is something I've learned the hard way, when doing a tutorial, be prepared, it might take you 3 tries
before you feel it's right. Happens to me, all the time. Just stick with it.
I look forward to seeing your next round, Patty

Looks difficult wrapping an odd shaped rock. You did a fine job!
My first (and only) wrap ended up looking like I did it with my feet when I was about 2 years old.
Your effort is much better! Hang in there. Good luck!

I'm impressed! Tumbled stones are never easy, often requiring wire to secure them where wire shouldn't be aesthetically. But you pulled it off with neat "classy" wraps that doesn't look at all messy. Even more important, you gave yourself some practice with the "art" of wire twisting--it just doesn't get better!

Those are cool! I learned the basics watching Oxana's YourTubes video's. She explains well.

Nothing is easy when you begin, but it is so enjoyable, once you begin, you never want to stop 'till you reach the top.
