Just got back from Northern Nevada. Led a trip for our club members to Wonderstone Mountain the first day. Everyone lasted maybe an hour and a half before deciding to go home, so Jax and I went back to dig for more. Weather was a bit warm, but at least not storming like our last day, when I swung back by Wonderstone Mountain on the way home.
After leaving Wonderstone Mountain, I had to make a stop on the way to Reno to pick up a bucket of opalized wood for a friend. A guy I know is a moderator on various Facebook rock boards. He does give-a-ways, and a friend of mine won the bucket of opal, but she moved to Minnesota. Since I was driving right by his house, I picked up the opal. He also gave me a bunch of opalized wood. Will post pics later.
He showed me around his property, which had tons of stones, including massive chunks of opalized wood.
He also had a lot of bones on the piles of rocks, a Jax favorite. She says bones is bones, so she kept climbing up on the rock piles stealing the bones, which he said was alright that she could have them. She especially liked the coyote skull since it still had flesh on it, which she thought was yummy. I took it away from her and put it back up on the pile, and Jax went right back up and brought it down to munch on it some more. Can;t take the wild dingo out of her.

Jax is the best! I saw your wonderstone post on the other thread. Did you collect all of that on this trip? It's beautiful stuff!
