We’re going to Nethers Farm in Ohio for the first time. We’re avid beach rock hounds, and this is our first foray to Nethers Farm to mine flint for tumbling and just for fun. What equipment do we need? So far, I’ve got: - safety goggles - heavy gloves - bucket ( I don’t have a wagon ) - sledge hammer - chisel - knee guards - cash for payment - water - picnic lunch
What else would you suggest for a first-time flint dig?

I have never been to Nethers Farm in Ohio but your list is good for all hobby mining activity. The only things I would add might be a small shovel/trenching tool to move dirt and a small gad or pry bar.

Nethers is open except for Deer Season. Yes, it’s still open to the public for flint hobby mining. What I’ve heard is that it’s $10 a person now and that the cost of the rock you take away has gone up.
